What Sensor Technology Does for You:

Odor, Dust & Allergen Sensors -
Know which airborne pollutants are present.

The Intelli-Pro has sensors to detect odors (such as chemicals and cigarette smoke), dust and allergens (such as pollen, pet dander, ragweed and mold spores). There is an LED indicator light for each of these pollutant types. If odors are detected, the "Odor" indicator light on the control panel will become lit. The same for dust and allergens.

Clean Air Monitor -
Know just how clean or polluted the air really is.

The Intelli-Pro senses just how clean or polluted the air really is, and conveys this information through the four LED indicator lights. The dirtier the air, the more indicator lights that are lit. For example, if all four indicator lights are lit, the air is very polluted. If only one is lit, the air is very clean.

Automatic Mode -
Saves you money on your electric bill by automatically adjusting settings.

In this mode, the Intelli-Pro will automatically adjust the settings of the air purifier according to how clean or polluted the air is. For example, if the air is detected to be polluted, it will run the fan on a higher setting. On the other hand, if the air is determined to be sufficiently clean, it will run the fan on the lowest setting ("Quiet") in order to use less electricity, saving you money on your electric bill.

Filter Replace/Maintenance Indicators -

The Intelli-Pro takes the guesswork out of trying to determine when to replace filters and when to wipe the metal dust collector plates clean. The filter sensor lets you know when it is time to replace the HEPA/activated carbon filter. This way, you do not replace it too soon (saving you money), and not too late, when it becomes saturated to the point it begins releasing captured contaminates back into the air.

Ion/UV Light Indicator -
Now you can know the ionizer and UV lamp are working properly.

This sensor verifies the ionizer and UV lamp are working properly. Without these sensors, it is very difficult to know if UV lamps and ionizers are fully operational, since there are few visual or audio signs to verify this. When they are both working properly, the blue light under "Ion/UV Indicator" will go back and forth between dim and bright.

 

How Intelli-Pro Purifies the Air:

Washable Pre Filter. The air first enters pre filter, capturing the largest particles, which enhances the durability and performance of the other filters.

Removal Rates During Clinical Testing:

Note 1: All air purifier models were tested on "high" setting for the hydrogen sulfide test.
Note 2: All air purifier models were tested on "high" setting for the particle removal test, except the Friedrich C-90A. This model was tested on the "low" setting, since its low setting was more comparable to the other models on "high" in terms of noise and fan speed. Due to the noise of the C-90A on "high", users would likely operate it on "low" most of the time.

About Hydrogen Sulfide. H2S is a strong gas created by stagnant sewage, and is one of the very worst, and most difficult-to-remove pollutants known to man. Dust/Dust Mites. I found that units at five times the price cleaned a larger area but that was it. The HF-380 had all the important features I was looking for. It was one of the few air purifiers that not only had pre filter, a very large HEPA filter combined with a granulated carbon filter, it also had a washable Electrostatically charged Plasma filter… most air cleaners units either had one or the other. Also only found in your better air purifiers… the HF-380 has a UV light and TiO2 Photocatalytic Oxidation Filter that work together to remove Mold, Bacteria, Viruses and a list of chemicals and organic based pollutants. I ordered 2 of the HF-380 Air Purifiers one for me and one for a family member at a different location. When I received the unit the first thing I did was to inspect the filters and to see how easy they were to remove and replace. The HF-380 front panel is very easy to open and close and the filters fit firmly. The HEPA/Carbon Filter has a rubber gasket around it and makes a perfect seal; not allowing any air to escape out the sides… which is very important if you want clean air! The HF-380 4 different fan speeds plus “Auto”. Even at the highest speed, the unit is not that loud and the fan has a very pleasant air movement sound… personally I find it very relaxing! At the “Auto Mode” the unit adjusts the fan speed as needed and it really works. After a few hours of use at high speed I put the fan speed in “Auto Mode” as I was sure my place had clean air according to the LED light indicator of the air sensors… as I approached the unit it detected my cologne the “Odor” LED light went on and the “Clean Monitor” LED level indicator went almost all the way up, the fan speed went from the lowest speed to “Medium” speed almost immediately… cleaning the air much faster as needed! I live in a nice 2 bedroom apartment but I felt the air quality in my place is not as clean or safe as it should be, partly because of the air return system of the “HVAC” and wall to wall carpet. According the LED indicators of the air quality sensors I was right about my air quality… Within a short period of time the air quality in my place is much better, thanks to the HF-380! I have had the unit in my bedroom at night for almost a week and have been sleeping better than I have for a very long time. Before I had the HF-380 I woke up many nights a week short of breath… not anymore! I also found the price of the replacement HEPA/Carbon filter and the UV light to be very reasonable and the fact you only have to do this about every 2 years is great!
