It DOES NOT utilize a FAN.

So there is no built in fan. It purifies air using Ionic technology which means that it generates large quantities of Negative Ions (up to 1 Million per Cubic Centimeter) and small quantities of Ozone (very minimal amount as a bye product only, 0.04 - 0.05 Parts Per Million, which is within the WHO, FDA and OSHA standard) using its Solid State Electronic Circuitry and utilizing Stainless Steel needle points. Built in electro statically charged dust collection plates helps in trapping airborne particles like allergens and dust.
By nature, nearly all the harmful contents in the air are positively charged so what these negative ions do is that they attached themselves to these positively charged particles, neutralize them by making them heavier and bulkier such that they become unable to remain in the air and cause any harm.
Negative ions cannot travel beyond the room where they originate, regardless of how powerful the ionizer is. This is due to the fact that they remain alive for only up to 30 seconds once created and utilizes the air stream inside the room to move around. HOW IT WORKS

 

	1. The Electronically-Created Breeze Draws Pollutants into the Air Inlet. The negatively-charged pins and positively-charged dust collection plates create air flow, without the use of a fan. This air flow helps to draw air through the air inlet located at the top of the XJ-2000 air ionizer.
	2. Pollutants are Magnetically Attached to the Electrostatically-Charged Plates. The negatively-charged pins give particles & pollutants a negative charge, which are then magnetically attracted to the positively-charged plates. Particles & pollutants then remain magnetically trapped on the stainless steel plates until wiped clean with a dry or damp cloth.
	3. The Electronic Breeze Circulates the Purified and Ionized Air Through the Air Outlet. The electronic breeze pushes the purified air through the air outlet, or front grill of the XJ-2000 ionic air purifier. The negative ions produced by the negatively-charged pins (a.k.a. needlepoints) also emits negative ions into the air.

Air currents perform better when it is closer to the ceiling. The optimal placement of HF 200 will be on a bookshelf or at least three feet from the ground. You can also hang the HF 200 on the wall or under the Air Conditioner. Simply plug the power adaptor to the unit and press the power button. The red light indicates that the unit is operating.

Plug in on the cigarette lighter adaptor when used in vehicle.

When used inside a vehicle, your HF 200 must be securely fastened. Plug in your HF 200 into the cigarette lighter adaptor and turn the unit to low for safe car operation. Always turn the unit off during fueling.

HI,LO, & OFF mode.

There are 2 operating modes to accommodate different room sizes and air quality conditions: (1) High: The unit will run continuously. (2) Low: The unit will run intermittently; ON for three minutes, OFF for two.

HI mode for large area, LO mode for small area.

Since the HF 200 comes with a high and low setting, it is suitable for areas as small as 75 square feet up to 270 square feet. To obtain optimal coverage, place the unit as high as possible off the ground. Set the HF 200 to LOW when used in a smaller area. Set the HF 200 to HIGH when used in a larger area.
Caution!!

Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.

Do not plug or unplug the power adaptor with wet hands and do not insert metallic objects into the front of the HF 200 during operation in order to prevent electric shock.

Keep the HF 200 away from any water sources and children.

Keep the HF 200 out of the rain and away from any source of water. Do not place the unit near any water tubs, pools, sinks or within the reach of small children. Do not dismantle the HF 200 to avoid damage to internal parts.

Don’t breath within 18 inches of the front grill continuously for several hours.

If you want to sleep or sit for prolonged periods of time breathing the air, make sure that the HF 200 is placed at least 20 inches away from your face.

Humidity causes static sound.

Static electricity sounds produced during operation due to high humidity levels is not a malfunction.

Unplug.

Make sure Unit is plugged OFF before the cleaning process and thoroughly dry before plugging it back ON.

Unscrew the collector plate & perform cleaning.

Turn the HF 200 upside down and place it on a towel. Loosen the two screws that fasten the collector plates to your unit and carefully pull the plates from the unit.

Clean & rinse.

Hold the collector plates under hot water and clean them with a soapy sponge, then rinse.

Clean cover with detergent.

Use a mild detergent to clean the exterior of the HF 200.

When hissing sound occurs, its time to clean the needlepoints.

If you notice your unit begins to make on and off "hissing" sound , some of the needlepins have collected too much dust and are in need of cleaning. Its time to clean the ionic pins by using rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab to clean the tips, since alcohol dries fast and cleans thoroughly.

Clean at least once a month.

Perform maintenance when needed or at least once a month to keep your HF 200 operating at peak performance.
